Terms & Conditions

The terms for buying from SPLYNTRE: ordering, payment, delivery, returns and your rights.

Version: 27 September 2026

011. Who we are

SPLYNTRE B.V.

Website: splyntre.com

022. Scope

2.1 These terms apply to every offer on splyntre.com and to every order you place with us as a consumer.

2.2 Before you order, these terms are available on splyntre.com and linked in our checkout, where you can save or print them.

2.3 Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumer law gives you.

033. Our products

3.1 Every SPLYNTRE piece is made to order and finished by hand. The main characteristics — materials, stones, dimensions and price — are stated on the product page.

3.2 Our diamonds are lab-grown diamonds: chemically, physically and optically diamond, created in a laboratory rather than mined.

3.3 Because every piece is handmade, small differences in finish, colour and stone placement from the photographs are possible and part of the product. Weights and dimensions are approximate. Photographs show the product as accurately as we can, but screens differ.

3.4 Some pieces are released in limited drops, while stock lasts.

044. Your order and the contract

4.1 Our product pages are an offer. The contract is concluded when you complete your order in our checkout. We confirm your order by e-mail without delay.

4.2 If a piece in a limited drop sells out while you are ordering, or we cannot make it for a reason outside our control, we tell you as soon as possible and refund anything you paid within 14 days.

4.3 If a price or product detail contains an obvious error — one you could reasonably have recognised as a mistake — we are not bound by it. We will tell you and offer to cancel the order with a full refund.

055. Prices

5.1 All prices are in euros and include Dutch VAT.

5.2 Standard shipping is free, to every country we deliver to.

5.3 We currently deliver to the Netherlands and the other countries of the European Union. No import duties apply.

5.4 The price that applies is the price shown when you place your order.

066. Payment

6.1 You can pay with iDEAL, credit card, PayPal or Apple Pay, through Shopify’s secure checkout. We never see or store your card details.

6.2 You pay the full price when you order. We start making your piece once payment has come through.

6.3 Refunds are made with the payment method you used, unless we agree otherwise with you.

6.4 Discount codes: one code per order, not exchangeable for cash, and valid only within the period and conditions stated with the code. If you return a product bought with a discount, we refund the amount you actually paid.

077. Delivery

7.1 Because every piece is made to order, we aim to deliver within about three weeks in the Netherlands and three to four weeks elsewhere in the EU. For pre-orders, the expected delivery time is stated on the product page.

7.2 If no delivery time was agreed, we deliver within 30 days of your order. If we miss the agreed time or those 30 days, you may give us a reasonable extra period. If we still do not deliver, you may cancel the contract and we refund everything you paid within 14 days. If the delivery date was essential and you told us so before ordering, you may cancel straight away.

7.3 The risk of loss or damage passes to you when the product is delivered to you or to someone you nominate (other than the carrier).

7.4 Please check your parcel on delivery and tell us within a reasonable time if anything is missing or damaged.

088. Returns and exchanges

Articles 9 and 10 explain how you withdraw from your order, how a return works and what you get back. A summary is on our Shipping & Returns page.

099. Right of withdrawal

9.1 You can withdraw from your purchase without giving a reason within 14 days of the day you, or someone you nominate (other than the carrier), receive the product. If your order arrives in several deliveries, the 14 days start when you receive the last one.

9.2 You meet the deadline as long as you tell us before the 14 days are over. You can do this by:

We confirm receipt of your withdrawal by e-mail without delay.

9.3 You may handle the product the way you would in a shop, to check what it is, how it looks and how it fits. Please return it complete, with its box, pouch, accessories and documents, and pack it well.

9.4 If the product shows handling beyond what is needed to assess it, you remain entitled to withdraw, but we may deduct the resulting loss in value from your refund. Examples: scratches or marks from wear that require polishing, rhodium re-plating of white gold, or damaged or missing stones. The deduction equals the actual cost of restoring the piece to saleable condition, and never more than the loss in value.

9.5 We document the condition of every piece before dispatch and on return. Before we process your refund, we send you photos and the amount of any deduction.

9.6 The right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to your individual specifications at your request, outside our standard collection — for example a stone, size or design adjustment we do not normally offer. Choosing an option from our collection is not such a specification. We always confirm in writing, before production, that such an order cannot be withdrawn.

9.7 Article 9.6 does not affect your rights if a product is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered (articles 11 and 12).

1010. Return process and refunds

10.1 Return process:

  1. Notify us of your withdrawal as described in article 9.2.
  2. Within 3 working days we e-mail you a return label, addressed to SPLYNTRE B.V., Keizersgracht 62, 1015 CS Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
  3. Pack the product complete, as described in article 9.3, and include your order number in the parcel.
  4. Hand the parcel to the carrier named on the label within 14 days of your notification, and keep the proof of shipment.

Returns are made with our label only.

10.2 Once you have handed the parcel to the carrier with our label, loss or damage in transit is our risk.

10.3 We refund the purchase price within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, using the payment method you used for your order, unless we agree otherwise with you. We may wait with the refund until we have received the product, or until you have shown proof that you sent it, whichever is earlier.

10.4 From your refund we deduct:

  • the cost of the return label, a fixed €25; and
  • any deduction for loss in value under article 9.4.

Standard shipping to you is free, so there is no delivery cost to refund.

10.5 Only the buyer receives a refund. If you received a SPLYNTRE piece as a gift, you can start the return with the order number, but the refund goes to the original buyer.

10.6 If a product is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, the return is on us: we send you a label free of charge and deduct nothing. Contact us first at info@splyntre.com with photos.

10.7 Exchanges. Every SPLYNTRE piece is made to order, so an exchange is a return under articles 9 and 10 combined with a new order. If the new product is cheaper, we refund the difference to the buyer; if it is more expensive, you pay the difference. E-mail us and we arrange both steps together.

1111. Statutory guarantee

11.1 You are entitled to a product that conforms to the contract: that matches its description and has the qualities you may expect for normal use of fine jewellery. This statutory guarantee always applies and cannot be limited.

11.2 If a product does not conform, you may ask us to repair or replace it free of charge. If that is impossible, disproportionate or not done within a reasonable time, you may ask for a price reduction or cancel the contract.

11.3 If a defect appears within one year of delivery, it is presumed to have been present at delivery, unless we show otherwise.

11.4 Normal wear, damage from accidents, force or improper care, and changes made by someone other than us are not defects. Our care advice is on the FAQ page.

1212. Complaints

12.1 Complaints about a product or about our service can be sent to info@splyntre.com. Please describe the issue and add photos where helpful.

12.2 Tell us about a defect within a reasonable time after you discover it. A report within two months of discovery is always in time.

12.3 We confirm receipt within 5 working days and give a full response within 14 days. If we need more time, we tell you within those 14 days when you can expect an answer.

12.4 If we cannot resolve a complaint together, you can take the dispute to the competent court (article 14).

1313. Liability

13.1 We are liable for damage caused by a defect in a product or by our failure to meet these terms, as the law provides.

13.2 We are not liable for damage caused by improper use or care, by normal wear, or by circumstances outside our control (force majeure) such as strikes, carrier failures or natural disasters. If force majeure delays delivery for more than 30 days, either of us may cancel the contract and we refund what you paid.

13.3 Nothing in this article limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

1414. Applicable law and disputes

14.1 Dutch law applies to these terms and to every contract with us.

14.2 If you live in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country.

14.3 Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you live in another EU country, you may also bring proceedings in the country where you live, and we can only bring proceedings against you there.

1515. Your account

You can create an account in our checkout to see your orders. Keep your login details private; you are responsible for what happens under your account unless it was not your fault.

1616. Intellectual property

All designs, photographs, texts, logos and other material on splyntre.com are owned by SPLYNTRE B.V. or its licensors. You may not copy or use them commercially without our written permission. Buying a piece gives you ownership of that piece, not of its design.

1717. Privacy and changes to these terms

17.1 How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

17.2 We may change these terms. Changes apply only to orders placed after the new version is published. The version that applies to your order is the one published on splyntre.com when you placed it.
